Certified Home Health Aides are the foundation of home-based care in America. In New Jersey, the HHA must be certified by the NJ Board of Nursing to legally provide personal care. As a CHHA, you are not only fully trained to support your client — you are also cleared by the State of NJ as having no criminal record.

Personal care ADLs include bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and ambulating. You may also be asked to assist with checking vital signs. This support is invaluable to the client and their family. The HHA can also provide other general support like driving, shopping, companionship, light housekeeping and cooking. The CHHA is one of the most personally rewarding careers in health care.

Sunlight Care will refund the cost of your training at $2 per hour you work for us if we agree to employ you. You are not guaranteed a job and you are not guaranteed to keep your job. You must pass the interview process to get a job and must follow all Sunlight Care policies to keep your job once you get it.
